Jānis Lielpēteris

Member of the Board of the “Latvian Media Ethics Council” and the “Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, external advisor to the Minister of Culture on Media Policy Issues.

Janis has been actively involved in the media sector since 2012, with a particular focus on digital media development and media compliance and oversight. He has been the head of the “Latvian Media Ethics Council” since its establishment and has been a freelance media advisor to the Minister of Culture since 2019.

Janis is convinced that local content is also crucial in the global information space, but at the same time has no doubt that media companies that want to grow and thrive in the face of media convergence must be prepared to transform their business models, relentlessly adapting to both changing content consumption trends and available technological solutions.
